A threat assessment is an evaluation of risk that can affect an individual(s), facilities, or an environment. It is a structured group process used to evaluate the risk posed by a student or another person, typically as a response to an actual or perceived threat or concerning behavior. Threat assessments can be utilized in any environment to evaluate the potential for violence and determine steps that can be taken to mitigate the risk of occurrence. CSIPS agents are trained in utilizing the latest computer software programs to identify the vulnerabilities of a particular location, and can assist the likelihood of a hostile situation occurring.
