At CSIPS, we understand the importance of the safety and security of your residence and your loved ones. We strive to work with local law enforcement agencies to assist them in crime prevention. By using techniques such as “Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design,” (CPTED), our goal is to study criminal behavior and activity in your area to eliminate the threat of an incident occurring.
The threat could be personal or to your property, however the positive outcome of employing CSIPS agents is always the same; the client, family, and staff are able to go about their lives with the confidence of knowing they are safe.
Our agents are trained in the following areas:
- Risk assessment
- Monitoring access to the property/estate protection
- Monitoring mail and deliveries
- Providing a presence to avert unwanted visitors
- Monitor and patrol property and grounds
- Closed circuit television systems
- 24-hour threat detection
- Armed patrol in marked patrol vehicles
- Work with local law enforcement
- Local criminal analysis
Residential Security FAQs
Crime analysis is a profession and process in which a set of quantitative and qualitative techniques are used to analyze data valuable to police agencies and their communities. It includes the analysis of crime and criminals, crime victims, disorder, quality of life issues, traffic issues, and internal police operations, and its results support criminal investigation and prosecution, patrol activities, crime prevention and reduction strategies, problem solving, and the evaluation of police efforts.
At CSIPS, many of our agents are still active or are prior law enforcement officers who have extensive training in crime analysis. Our agents will meet with the local agency crime prevention officer and can be the spokesperson for your neighborhood. Our agents are trained in working with neighborhood watch committees and providing detail information on how to prevent crime. By having an analysis of criminal activity in the community, it provides our agents with current criminal trends and allows the neighborhood to prevent the problem before it occurs.
At CSIPS, we have worked with numerous neighborhood associations in implanting a strategic plan for neighborhood safety. Our agents have worked in both plain clothes and uniformed patrol. By providing our agents to your neighborhood, it is a deterrent for criminal behavior based on the high visibility that our agents provide.
Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) includes strategies implemented to directly modify the environment to take advantage of pre-existing environmental assets or change the design features and condition of particular targets (e.g., store fronts, parking garages, or abandoned buildings) or areas in an effort to reduce crime. In some instances, CPTED strategies are implemented during the beginning phases of a project including during the planning of a new housing development. However, in many instances, the strategies are applied when the need for intervention occurs such as adding security cameras to a store after a robbery.
